Help to do without your car by offering employees to test a electric bicycle for a month on their home-work journey: that’s what the company is about to do CGI based at Basso Cambo in Toulouse.
Many candidates for tester
This large digital company, which employs 800 people in the Pink City, has been participating in the system since October. Bonwatt, supported byAdeme and engaged to Bolloré energy. And like all companies with more than 100 employees, CGI must adopt a mobility plan to make its employees aware of alternative forms of mobility.
“It was through Tisséo, which put us in touch with the Maison du Vélo, that we learned of the existence of the Goodwatt system,” explains Sylvain Ladurée, director of the Toulouse site. We had a lot of candidates to participate. “
A test before an investment?
Only about twenty employees will be able to test these electrically assisted bicycles for a month. “Testing bicycles allows our employees to check that their use is relevant on their commute to work,” explains Jérôme Challo, CSR manager at CGI. And thus prevent them from investing if this is not the case. “
CGI already offers reimbursement to 100% of public transport tickets to its employees. “On our site we also have all the necessary equipment to park bikes, as well as showers and changing rooms,” explains Sylvain Ladurée.
“People can no longer stand traffic jams”
This test of electric bikes is a new tool in the arsenal which should make it possible to limit the systematic use of individual vehicles.
“People can no longer stand the traffic jams in Toulouse, points out Sylvain Ladurée. Our employees can telework, we can also change working hours, but this is not always possible. Soft mobility is really important to us! “.
Other Toulouse companies will be testing the Goodwatt device in the coming weeks: the Caf de Haute-Garonne has already done so and Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS will start in November.
