Non-financial investments in the Netherlands up to 4.2 trillion euros
Non-financial assets are all non-monetary items that can be sold. Dwellings and the ground under the houses were spacious in total 2.4 trillion worth euros. Company buildings (and the ground beneath them) stood for more than 0.5 trillion euros on the balance sheet. Other non-financial assets have a value of 1.2 trillion euros. This mainly consists of ground, road and hydraulic engineering works, machinery and installations, supplies, agricultural land, oil and gas reserves and means of transport.

Homes are a larger part of non-financial assets
In 2000, the share of housing (including underlying land) in non-financial liabilities was 50.6 percent. This share increased to 55.2 percent in 2007, then decreased to 50.0 percent in 2014, and then to 58.8 percent in 2020. The share of industrial buildings decreased to 12.9 percent in 2020. compared to 2014, this is mainly due to the oil and gas reserves and is due to the decision to stop natural gas extraction in Groningen. Possessions of Dutch citizens abroad are not included.

Rising house prices
Since 2014, the non-financial problems in the Netherlands have been carried out every year. In 2020, the increase from 2019 will increase approximately 238 billion euros. This is mainly due to house prices, which have also risen every year since 2014. This was the value of homes in 2020 net income with 2019 almost 174 billion euros higher. The effect of net investments in homes (for example, new construction of home renovations) was much smaller. In 2020 this will be about 17 billion euros.
