Travel has changed. Find out which countries will let you go without quarantine and what you have to do if you want to return
Even during the third wave, each country has its own restrictions and measures that other countries must comply with, or may be maintained. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic on our website we constantly update the data according to the current epidemiological situation of each country.
If you want to do one of the European countries, you should know what you need and to which countries you only need to be vaccinated with one dose of a two-dose vaccine.
European countries release vaccinated people without a test or compulsory quarantine. You must be at least 22 days after the first value and 14 days after the second time to arrive in the countries. Countries where doses of two-dose vaccine or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine are required include almost all European countries, except Hungary and Croatia, where confirmation of first-dose vaccination is sufficient.
If you are among those who have overcome COVID-19 and the period since overcoming is not long is 6 months, they can download the last region of Europe with certain exceptions. On the page Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic you can verify that the country you are going to protect accepts the coronavirus outbreak confirmation. Countries that do not accept this confirmation include, for example, Ukraine, France, the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Latvia.
As stated Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, you can also make countries with a final final or RT-PCR test. Of course, different restrictions apply to each country. Pelipecký published on their website, which graphically supports Europe and thus countries where they only accept the PCR / AG test is no longer than 72 or 48 hours.
As the map shows, they do not accept the test in Hungary, but in this case it means that entry into this country is at least limited, whether it is a vaccination or an unvaccinated person. However, in the case of Norway, this is a different principle of non-acceptance of the test.
As Norway has included Slovakia in the list of red countries, the PCR / AG test is not enough to enter the country. Citizens of countries, ie us, will have to be quarantined by red entry into the country, it can be terminated until it is a PCR test.

Return to Slovakia
Getting to a foreign country can often be easier than going back. Our regulations for returning to the country are known to everyone, but for everyone – vaccinated, non-vaccinated, tested or obsolete – slightly different rules apply.
If you are one of the unvaccinated residents and returning from abroad, you need to register with eBorders. As unvaccinated, he will enter the 10-day quarantine upon arrival in Slovakia, which applies to all members of the common household who are not vaccinated in the same way.
The quarantine ends with the last PCR test no earlier than the fifth day after arrival in Slovakia. The PCR test is paid for by the state and the order is automatic after registration in the already mentioned eHranice.
Completely vaccinated returning to Slovakia to have a little easier. He will also fill in the eHranica form, where the first registration is valid for half a year. This means that if you move and travel to more than one country in the next six months, one registration to eHorder is still valid and sufficient.
Upon arrival in Slovakia, at the border, as a vaccinated person, he / she proves himself / herself with a valid covid passport, ie a scan of your QR code, which was assigned to everyone after the vaccination. If you are returning to Slovakia from a high-risk country by air, in this case a PCR test that is not older than 72 hours is also required.
It is interesting that this rule only applies to flights directly to Slovakia. For example, if you land at Vienna Airport and cross the border by car, train or bus, you are not required to take the test.
Exceptions for returning to Slovakia
Unless vaccinated for medical reasons and you have been spared an exemption, you must have a validated and confirmed specialization, but quarantine does not need to start with a PCR test, but is not older than 72 hours.
As Pelipecky states, they have an exception as well “People with permanent or temporary residence in the border areas of a neighboring state within a hundred kilometers of an open border crossing, who are citizens of Slovakia. And also pendulums. However, they must eventually be removed by PCR for not more than seven days. “
One other exception, where an unvaccinated person does not have to enter quarantine, applies to those who provide urgent health care to their loved ones, as well as to those who attend the funeral of a loved one, but who need a PCR test that is not older than 72 hours. .
For children under 12 years of age, they do not have to register for eHranice, just as they do not have to pass the test after arriving in Slovakia and the quarantine in their household ends at the time when the next unvaccinated person ends.
