Aurélien Tchouameni: “The machine is on the way”
AS Monaco signed a very nice success against Montpellier (3-1), this Sunday of the 11th day of Ligue 1. Great satisfaction for Aurélien Tchouameni, as he told the press after the meeting.
Another great victory for AS Monaco! Only three days after beating PSV Eindhoven (2-1) in the Europa League, the Red and Whites received Montpellier (3-1) this Sunday at the Stade Louis-II, on the occasion of the 11e Ligue 1 day. After this meeting, Aurélien Tchouameni was very happy with the collective performance of his team.
Performances like these remind us of last season at home, so we have to work to repeat those kinds of performances.
AS Monaco midfielder
Aurélien, three days after the great victory in Eindhoven (2-1), AS Monaco still had a full match…
We were keen to start this match well and to reassure ourselves by scoring quickly. That’s what we did. Then we were able to keep the ball, maintain our pace to score this third goal. The only small regret is conceding a goal, but we are happy with our performance. At the end of the match we lost a few silly balls and we fell back, so we will have to work on that, but tonight we are happy to have won.
Can this kind of service free you at home?
We remain on a really successful match against (3-0) and today it went very well, so we continue this series at the Stade Louis II, in front of our supporters. Performances like these remind us of last season at home, so we have to work to repeat those kinds of performances.

The recruits seem to be better and better integrated into the team …
Yes, our recruits manage to integrate well. As training and matches progress, they gain more and more confidence and understand better and better what the coach asks. The machine is working. Of course, we have to keep working to improve, but I think we are on the right track.
The duo “Yedderland” has found the net again …
It’s a beautiful evening for our attackers, who have been able to gain confidence and be decisive. It’s their job to score but we are happy for them, because our attackers are also efficient, we are very satisfied. And then there is Caio Henrique who multiplies the “pancakes”, it’s a bit like his Brazilian side (smile).
