RTL today – Luxembourg: The generalization of the Covid-Check targeted by new petitions
Nine new petitions were posted on the website of the Chamber of Deputies on Friday, four of which want to modify or end the Covid-Check.
If the government is satisfied of the Covid-Check regime and its results, the generalization of the system from November 1 does not please everyone. On Friday, the Chamber of Deputies announced the posting of nine new petitions four of which are aimed at either modifying or banning the regime.
Barely online for 24 hours, petition n ° 2044 has collected more than 900 signatures. The person behind this petition says to himself “against the obligation to present the Covid-Check in public institutions and private companies“. A petition which therefore goes against the restrictions which will come into force at the beginning of next month.
And that’s not all since petition n ° 2043 quite simply calls for the organization of a referendum to prohibit the health pass (Covid-Check or equivalent) in Luxembourg.
For others, it is modify the system in place by extending the validity of the health pass for people cured of Covid-19 or by adding a mention mentioning the number of antibodies in the blood to pay the “cured” of the Covid.
What concludes that the Covid-Check and what it implies continues to divide the petitioners and the residents of the country. It remains to be seen whether these petitions will reach the signature threshold required to force a debate in the Chamber of Deputies.
Five other petitions have been uploaded against the increase in the price of gasoline, to pay the compulsory wearing of a helmet pour cyclists, pour help for parents who decide not to arrive at the relay houses, to pay focus on hydrogen as the fuel of the future or so that people who have benefited from side effects after a vaccination in charge their medical expenses themselves.
