Criticism against aggravation among unvaccinated people
Bless you
There is criticism from Salzburg of the tightening against unvaccinated people. The FPÖ and SPÖ are clearly against the federal government’s new plans, unvaccinated people in the event of a strong coronavirus case.
Violent criticism of an impending lockdown for unvaccinated people came on Saturday from the Salzburg Freedom Party. The federal government announced on Friday evening that it would impose exit restrictions for unvaccinated people with an intensive care bed occupancy of 30 percent or more. FPÖ member of the state parliament Andreas Schöppl is strictly against it. He sees the measures as a division of society: “I find it irresponsible to drive another wedge between people. It would be high time to strengthen the community again instead of playing people off against each other. “
FPÖ Schöppl: “Indirect mandatory vaccination is rejected”
For Schöppl, lockdown for unvaccinated people is nothing more than compulsory vaccination through the back door: “Everyone should be able to decide freely whether they want to be vaccinated or not. We are a free country and therefore reject any kind of compulsory vaccination – be it direct or indirect. ”The current proposal is therefore again an indirect compulsory vaccination and is therefore rejected, said Schöppl.
SPÖ Egger: “Wedge is driven in society”
The new move goes too far for the Social Democrats too. He only drives a wedge in society, says SPÖ boss David Egger.
He thinks little of “threatening gestures like a lockdown only for unvaccinated people”, says Egger, as they fueled “social unrest, but certainly not the willingness to vaccinate”. Orientation should be based on the model of a vaccination lottery at the federal level, and Burgenland, with 69.6 percent vaccinated at present, is advancing to become the nationwide leader.
LH Haslauer: “Hope that tightening does not come”
Of course, one hopes that the threatened tightening does not come, it is said from Governor Wilfried Haslauer’s office. However, it cannot be ruled out that Salzburg, as Austria’s corona hotspot, WILL be the first federal state to be affected by the measures.
