sevDesk expands to Austria
sevDesk, a provider of cloud-based accounting software for self-employed and small businesses from Germany, opens its first international branch in Austria. […]
The startup was founded in 2013 by Fabian Silberer and Marco Reinbold and is already active in Austria in addition to Germany. So far, however, the Austrian market has been served from Germany. That should now change with its own subsidiary and a branch in Vienna. The aim is to better adapt the product to the market, to support Austrian customers more intensively and to win new users.
Country Manager Florian Ziegler will be in charge of the new location. As head of the growth and sales department in a global IT company for several years, he was responsible, among other things, for international expansion. Ziegler specializes in growth management / expansion and can also fall back on experience as a founder himself.
“As a lead, I am responsible for establishing country management and the further development of business activities and partnerships for sevDesk in Austria,” explains Ziegler. “I act as an internal contact person for the Austrian market needs and lead the team on site.”
Employee search for a new office at Vienna Central Station
The new branch will initially be in a coworking space at Vienna Central Station. “We see the Vienna personnel market as an opportunity for sevDesk to get talent on board,” said Fabian Silberer, CEO of sevDesk. “We are primarily starting in the area of sales, tax advisor and customer support, as well as marketing. In the long term, an expansion as a tech location is also conceivable. ”
Software adjustments to Austrian requirements
The adjustments for the Austrian market focus, for example, on the connections to the accounting software BMD and Finanz Online. In addition, sevDesk will ensure that all functions comply with Austrian legislation.
“Especially in our declared core target group, the self-employed, sole proprietorships and small businesses, the accounting is often still done with Excel tables or even handwritten”, Florian Ziegler. “We want to make life easier for precisely these entrepreneurs and support them with our intelligent platforms to save time and money.”
