Following the changes in the take-off trajectories of planes north of Blagnac, the inhabitants of Daux mobilized to demand more transparency.
“In Daux, the air pollution is there, from 6.30 am with the first take-offs from Blagnac airport. And during the day, when you are in the garden, you have to turn up the sound of the radio or stop the conversations, while the plane passes, ”notes Jean-Marc Sanchez. Since September 2019, he has been at the helm of the “Daux Environnement” association, which brings together more than 150 people.
Founded to denounce the changes in take-off trajectories, the citizens’ association above all regrets the lack of transparency. “We discovered over time that the take-off trajectories north of Toulouse-Blagnac airport had been modified with a shift to the west, without our being informed, since they were not included in the Plan. noise exposure (PEB). In normal times, the populations must be warned, especially those who buy houses, ”continues Jean-Marc Sanchez.
Framed by the sensors, a posteriori, the “Daux Environment” association realized that the data provided in the public inquiry did not correspond to reality. Since then, we have not stopped asking for the sources of data established according to a model of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC). To date, we have not achieved anything. We are ready to go to court, ”adds Sanchez.
The watchwords of the “Daux Environnement” association are: “Let’s preserve our village, our living environment, our sleep, the value of our goods”. “Since this story, the town has communicated a lot in the media and real estate prices are already suffering the consequences. We know that planes have to go somewhere. We just ask, that in the event of changes in trajectories, we respect the people who are below and “newly impacted, so that they do not buy goods”, concludes Jean-Marc Sanchez.
