Toulouse: what are the dedicated slots for enjoying the swimming pools of the Pink City with the family?

Are you saving him? On the occasion of so-called “family” slots, certain swimming lanes are “temporarily reorganized” in the swimming pools of the Pink City, so that the inhabitants can “benefit from playful arrangements for all ages ”, supports the town hall of Toulouse.
Dedicated slots in six swimming pools
This year, six slots dedicated to families have been renewed in five swimming pools, and a new niche was opened on the side of Alban Minville, in Bellefontaine. Here are all the niches dedicated to families in the Toulouse swimming pools:
- Nice view (route de Narbonne): Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Toulouse Lautrec (Minimes): from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. every day
- Jean Boiteux (route de Blagnac): from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. every day
- Alban Minville (Bellefontaine): from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. every day
- Papus : from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day
- Leo Barn (Saint-Aubin): from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every day
Fun activities installed
While “familiarizing the young swimming public with water”, the municipality wants to allow “Aquatic activities complementary to swimming and the practice of sport for families ”. As part of its swimming pool plan, fun facilities are regularly incorporated into the rehabilitated equipment. This is the case of the newly renovated swimming pool at Alban Minville for example, where families – who benefit from a dedicated time slot on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – can find a relaxation area, with massaging jets and some water games.
Inflatables go around swimming pools
The community also indicated that “a inflatable structure, for recreational use, will be installed “periodically” in various swimming pools in Toulouse throughout the year. “It makes it possible to transform a swimming pool into an aqualudic space” in the eyes of the town hall, which refuses to install “Aqualand slides”, explained the assistant in charge of sports Laurence Arribagé, preferring to “create fun in certain swimming pools to meet the demands” target residents.
Despite the Covid, the Pitchouns were able to learn to swim
Still according to the Toulouse city hall, despite the health crisis, some 16,368 students were welcomed to learn to swim in the swimming pools of the Pink City during the 2020-2021 school year, or 682 classes from 119 schools. Excluding Covid, during a typical school year, between 18,000 and 20,000 children usually benefit from this system set up with the National Education: primary school students, but also certain large sections of kindergarten.
