Warsaw: Ubi Caritas awards for 2021 were presented for the 20th time
For the 20th time, on Saturday in Warsaw, the ecumenical gala of the Ubi Caritas awards ceremony. The powers are active on active shares and active shares.
The Ubi Caritas Gala was organized for the twentieth time. During it, people distinguished for charity work received awards. Caritas Polska awarded the statuettes of “Saint Faustina”, the Diacony of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church honored the winners with the statuette of the “Merciful Samaritan”, and the award of the “Hand of Mercy” Eleos of the Orthodox Church.
This year, the ceremony is exhibited in the field cathedral of the Polish Army under the invocation of Of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland in Warsaw. The motto of the gala were the words of Bl. card. Stefan Wyszyński “People say: Time is money. And I tell you: Time is love”.
“How could we more explicitly reserve love for our neighbor, care for the needy, than devoting our time to them, to whom the missing name has been achieved, every day” – said Director Caritas Polska, Fr. Marcin Iżycki, thanking the honored and awarded for the testimony of their lives.
As he pointed out, “for many of them theb was short, according to all their intended tasks”. “These are the safeguards of history bordering on heroism,” says Fr. Iżycki thought that he rewarded himself with inspiration for Polish society.
Caritas Polska awarded distinctions in three categories: donor, testimony and cooperation.
The first statuette of “Saint Faustina” was awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Grażycy and Mariusz Ślima, who for many years have supported charitable and social proposals of activities carried out by Caritas Przemyśl. group: the company Henkel Polska, the company Kalter and Joanna and Robert Hawełko.
In the certificate category, the award for Caritas Polska was awarded to Małgorzata Komorowska – a nurse and at the same time a graduate of Caritas at the hospice in Krakowskie Przedmieście. In April, April, she showed herself to the patients by helping 20 every care and treatment facility whose staff did not work. Among the famous Łałek are: Elżbieta, Krzysztof Kuźmiński and Waldemar Dałek.
As part of the cooperation, the statuette of “Saint Faustina” was given to Sabina Wawryk, nominated by Caritas of the Sandomierz Diocese, who has been involved in charity activities for 20 years. She is the founder of the Caritas School Circle “Blessed are the Merciful” in the Public Primary School and Kindergarten in Mostki. Among the distinguished persons were Anna Randa Ombach, Ewa Najdek and Paweł Łyczywek.
The Orthodox Metropolitan Center of Mercy Eleos, the “Palms of Mercy 2021” award in the “Cooperation with ELEOS” category was awarded to Fr. protojerej Jarosław Szczerbacz. For 10 years he has been running a facility for people with disabilities as part of the Nowa Wola Foundation. It is also an invention of the Occupational Therapy turnstiles workshop in Nowa Wola Białystok. Diploma of recognition “Hands of Mercy 2021”, in this category were received by: Jarosław Jatel, Marcin Pogorzelski, and in the “testimony of mercy” – Dominika Olga Królikowska, Anna Haponiuk and Mariusz Danieluk.
