Toulouse-Rennes flight turns into a nightmare by being diverted to Bordeaux
Due to weather conditions, a plane bound for Rennes was forced to land in Bordeaux this Saturday, October 16, report our colleagues from France-Blue.
A plane departing from Toulouse airport was to land in Rennes around 9 a.m., this Saturday, October 16: it will not be. While it was to take off at 7.45 am, the aircraft did not finally leave Toulouse soil until 9 am, before circling around the Breton capital for more than forty minutes this morning.
The pilots of the Toulouse-Rennes flight finally decided to land at Bordeaux-Mérignac airport around 12:30 pm. After having stocked up on fuel, the aircraft finally resumed its course shortly after 1.30 p.m., before finally landing in Rennes at 2.15 p.m. The trip will have lasted more than 5 hours, instead of the 1h15 initially planned.
The conditions involved
EasyJet, in charge of flight EJU7747, attributed the delay to the weather conditions, deemed “within safe operating limits“. The airline explained to our colleagues of France-Blue that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew was its “first priority”.
