“The development of young people is part of AS Monaco’s DNA”
This Thursday morning, the Executive Vice-President of AS Monaco was heard by the Committee on Cultural Affairs and Education.
Oleg Petrov, member of the Board of Directors of the LFP as well as that of the ECA, had the opportunity to answer the questions of the mission information on audiovisual broadcasting rights for sporting events.
He began his speech by recalling that AS Monaco will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2024. “ It’s a great historical period… for a club with great international visibility. “Today, the visibility of AS Monaco shines internationally, said Oleg Petrov. A decade of success
The ASM vice-president then spoke of Dmitri Rybolovlev’s role in the sporting success of AS Monaco since his arrival at the club in 2011. “President Rybolovlev has invested a lot of money and made a lot of effort to make the club grow. We have qualified six times in the last eight seasons for a European competition. The club was in the semi-finals of the Champions League and was crowned champion of France. Today, we have nearly 17 million followers on social networks, the second largest total in France behind Paris Saint-Germain. ”
Oleg Petrov ended his speech by also avoiding the work done by AS Monaco in training, with the inaugurations of La Diagonale, but also of the brand new Training Center in La Turbie. “Youth development is part of AS Monaco’s DNA, he delegated. France is one of the countries which produces the most young talents in the world. And in Monaco, we want to contribute to this momentum. We are proud to have five French world champions trained in our ranks. We do a lot for French football around the world. ”
