Until December 11, the Laréole castle, near Toulouse, will offer several Saturdays in the fall a large theatrical investigation game, with actors in costume.

Dive into the Renaissance

Bringing castles to life by offering unusual activities is a new trend that is booming. During the summer, several areas of Upper Garonne thus lent themselves to the exercise, like the castle of Bonrepos-Riquet which offered a frightening survival course throughout the summer. Or the Garrevaques castle, in the Lauragais, which initiated a game-investigation inspired by The Chronicle of the Bridgertons, a series broadcast on Netflix.

The castle of Laréole, which belongs to the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne, is therefore also surfing the trend with this theatrical game that takes place during the Renaissance. To set it up, the Department called on the Pays d’oc agency.

“It was not easy to set up,” says Christelle, project manager for the event. Laréole castle is practically empty, at least there is no period furniture. We therefore wanted to recreate original sets. “

In the rooms of the castle, the participants will have to carry out an investigation and find Michel de Cheverry, an heir to a family of pastel merchants, who has passed away.

Five actors in costume

The Pays d’oc teams wanted to set up an immersive experience and worked a lot on the sound environment of the game. And to make the experience even more alive, five actors in costumes will accompany the players throughout their journey. in the different rooms of the castle, for a real journey through time.
