Belval, in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg: too perfect and too expensive
It is a new town which was created on the outskirts of Esch-sur-Alzette and around the blast furnaces.

Belval. The name resonates like a rebirth in Luxembourg. Industrial canker following the closure of the site which belonged to Arbed (then Arcelor Mittal), it has now become a new district, on the outskirts of Esch-sur-Alzette, the second city of the Grand Duchy. The whole with two blast furnaces to watch over the site, two completely renovated totems to make the link between the iron and steel period and the current one. “It is also a marker for differentiating oneself. This gives added value to the accommodation. It was very expensive to keep them (between 40 and 50 million) but it was important to keep a witness to this century of the steel industry, ”explains Vincent Delwiche, from his home which embraces the entire site, from retire from the presidency of Agora, which he had held since 2004.
