The Octobière festival returns for its 6th edition in Toulouse
Notice to beer lovers. From October 18 to 24, the October festival returns for its 6th edition in the pink city. This event, created by the association “Poulpie’s Friends», Aims to promote Toulouse craft beers.
A sparkling program
On the occasion of October, more than 50 events will be organized over five days: tastings, conferences and workshops will be on the menu. The program takes place in two stages. From Monday 18 to Friday 22 October, international, French and local craft breweries will take possession of the more than 35 places in Toulouse to offer several of its beers on tap.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 will be dedicated to the grand final. A closing event that will take place at Live connection where 30 breweries offer a total of 100 different beers (the full program can be found here).
Beers from Spain, Portugal and Belgium
After a 2020 edition cut off from its final and focused on the Occitan scene, the organizers want to offer more diversity. Foreign breweries from Spain, Portugal, or Belgium will take part. At the national level, Nantes, Lille or even Savoyard brasseries will be to discover.
“The objective is to offer a heterogeneous offer that will appeal to the most sophisticated consumers, but also accessible to the general public. Brewers will also be present to discuss with festival-goers and answer their questions”, explain the organizers in a communicated. If this festival is therefore an opportunity to celebrate craft beer and its actors, it is also a time to create new synergies between brewers, wine merchants, bar managers, distributors, restaurateurs and other players in the sector.
