Visit also Triglav National Park
Triglav National Park can be an inspiration for Slovak national parks. After his visit, President Zuzana Čaputová said this. Together with the delegation, she crossed the Mostnica gorge near Lake Bohinj.
The park is characterized by sustainable tourism, non-intervention and the absence of wild development in protected areas. “This park can be an inspiration for us. What we are striving for in Slovakia and what has already been achieved here is the balance between the three factors. On the one hand, nature-friendly farming, nature protection and tourism promotion,“It simply came to our notice then. Also emphasize legally regulated logging, which is only possible in buffer zones. “They also bet that the local people make a living mainly by processing on local products and tourism. National parks should have legal personality, as in Slovenia“Caputova said.
The highest peak in Slovenia and the Julian Alps and at the same time a symbol of Slovenia is Triglav with an altitude of 2,864 meters. This year, the Triglav National Park celebrates the 40th anniversary of its legal establishment.
At the end of the official visit, the Slovak President and Slovenian President planted a linden tree at the IEDC School of Management in Bled.
