End of the compulsory mask outdoors in the Principality
Children are also affected by the new flexibility at school.
Long debated, finally adopted. Wearing a mask is no longer mandatory since October 12 outdoors within Monegasque territory, given the figures put forward for the decline of Covid-19.
However, the Prince’s Government specifies that a few exceptions remain: wearing a mask remains compulsory on the Place du Palais between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., on the esplanade of the Fontvieille shopping center, at the Condamine and Monte-Carlo markets between 7 hours and 2 p.m. and to the various public transport access areas (bus stops and around the train station).
Another subject of concern, especially for parents of students: the mask at school. This is no longer compulsory for children during indoor and outdoor sports. The question of wearing a mask for primary school pupils will be debated soon.
Third dose
After the favorable opinion of the European Medicines Agency, the Prince’s Government is opening access to a third dose of vaccine against Covid-19 to Monegasques and residents aged 65 and over. Those affected will receive a letter inviting them if they wish to be vaccinated again.
Healthcare professionals who have been vaccinated for more than six months can also benefit from an additional dose if they wish.
The Prince’s Government recalls that faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccination is the best way to protect yourself, and to protect others.
