Koronovirus: 2,197 new cases – How many were found in Thessaloniki (MAP)
2,197 new cases were announced today, Saturday, October 9, by EODY, while at the same time the intubated patients in the ICU are now 331, of which 287 are unvaccinated or some vaccinated. At the same time, another 36 deaths are recorded in the country, with their total number reaching 15,105. Finally, 164,763 tests were performed with a positivity of 1.33%.

“The new laboratory confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours is 2,197 , of which 5 were identified following checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 675,479 (daily change + 0.3%), of which 50.9% are men. 1 Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 115 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 3,445 are related to an already known case.
The youth deaths of patients with COVID-19 is 36, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 15,105 deaths have been recorded. 95.3% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
The number of patients treated intubated is 331 (60.7% men). Their median age is 67 years. 81.6% have an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 287 (86.71%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 44 (13.29%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,209 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The Oi imports Covid -19 new patients in the hospitals of the territory are 178 (daily change -3.78%). The average seven-day admission is 173 patients. The median age of cases was 39 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death was 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
Regarding the geographical distribution of cases in Thessaloniki were located 335 new cases.
