SNCF: 4 changements à venir sur les lignes TER entre Bordeaux et Agen

The lines committee TER Bordeaux-Langon-Agen met on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 to announce the changes and new features to be added to the lines 43.2 and 44 between Bordeaux and Agen from December 11th.
1. Schedule change
All times will be changed, around twenty minutes. “The schedules were set according to the departures of TGV to Paris, but as these will change, we must also readjust them on the TER lines in order to have connections ”, indicate Renaud Lagrave, vice-president in charge of mobility.
2. New subscriptions
There are currently reductions on back-to-school offers. Also, subscriptions have been readjusted for less than 28 years old, young people and the telework subscriber pass is born.
There are between 20 to 30 trips per month and part of it can be paid for by the employer. It is already available on Modalis.
3. More trains
The adjustment of timetables makes it possible to set up more trains, more frequently, with greater amplitude and more quickly, a reminder to the vice-president in charge of mobility.
“There were holes in the middle of the day which were identified as well as the needs of users, which is why we are adding trains on line 44”.
During the week, there are three more TER on the Agen-Bordeaux line, seven on the line Marmande-La Réole-Bordeaux, four on the Agen-Marmande line and four on weekends between Agen and Bordeaux.
On the Langon-Bordeaux line, two TER are also added, “we want to strengthen the peri-urban section between Langon and Bordeaux”, he explained.
4. Future work
The lines committee indicates that it wants to work more on the quality of service and continue to improve it. On the Langon-Bordeaux line, in 2021, 95.3% of trains were on time and 1.7% of trains were canceled according to him.
Also, in Langon, the quayside accessibility studies should begin in 2022 with the objective of work in 2024-2025. After renovating the car park in Langon, the lines committee announced the launch of studies for the multimodal exchange hub.
