SNCF Paris-Rouen-Le Havre line: disruptions to be expected during the coming weekends

Since September 20, 2021 and for 13 weeks, the teams of SNCF Network replace and modernize infrastructure near the municipalities of Gaillon and Val d’Hazey (Eure): “This work is essential to ensure the robustness of the network and contributes to the regularity of traffic”, explains SNCF.
The coherent planned operations to replace and modernize the infrastructure within the Roule tunnel such as rails, the cross and the ballast over a length of 3.4 km.
At night and on weekends
In order to minimize the impact on rail traffic, the work is mainly carried out at night, during the week, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and over 4 weekends:
- Friday October 15 11:30 p.m. to Sunday October 17 11:30 a.m.
- Friday October 22 11:30 p.m. to Sunday October 24 11:30 a.m.
- Saturday October 30 11:00 a.m. to Monday November 1 11:00 a.m.
- Friday 05 November 11:30 p.m. to Sunday 7 November 11:30 a.m.
Six million euros invested
This work follows the tunnel reinforcement work (creation of a concrete shell), carried out over a period of one year between June 2020 and June 2021.
This work requires an investment of 6 million euros financed 100% by SNCF Réseau.
Traffic interrupted between Mantes and Val-de-Reuil
Circulation of the trains is interrupted between the stations of Mantes la Jolie and of Val-de-Reuil during several weekends leading to adaptations of the transport offer on line Paris-Rouen-Le Havre.
The weekends concerned are as follows:
The weekends of the 1October 6 and 17, 2021, October 23-24, November 6 and 7: train traffic is interrupted from Saturday to Sunday at 11 a.m.
The weekend of Saturday October 30 to Monday November 1 : train traffic is interrupted between Saturday 11 a.m. and Monday 11 a.m.
A bus service set up
A substitute service by coach is set up between the stations of:
Mantes la Jolie Rouen
Mantes la Jolie Le Havre
Mantes la Jolie Rosny-sur-Seine Bonnières Vernon
Mantes la Jolie Vernon-Giverny Gaillon-Aubevoye Val-de-Reuil
Mantes la Jolie Yvetot Bréauté-Beuzeville
Finally, on certain dates, trains will run between Paris-Saint-Lazare – Rouen – Le Havre without change via Gisors: October 16, 23, 31 and November 6: a round trip. October 30: circulation.
