About fifty people evacuated from a camp in Toulouse
This Wednesday, October 6, the police evacuated a camp located on Chemin de Gramont, in Toulouse, dislodging some fifty occupants.
The prefecture of Haute-Garonne announces that a camp located on Chemin de Gramont, in Toulouse, was rejected, this Wednesday, October 6, by the police. “This evacuation was carried out at the request of the owners of the illegally occupied land (…) To this was added a risk of fire, due to the presence of degraded wild electrical installations”, state services are justified. .
49 displaced occupants
To support the 49 occupants of the site, the Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor and Solidarity as well as the Directorate of Migration and Integration were mobilized. “All the people concerned were able to meet the State services, take the time to recover their personal effects and their wheels”, indicates the prefecture. Hotel accommodation was offered, which three families were accepted. A mobile team from 115 must meet them in order to assess their administrative situation and, “if they meet the conditions, be offered accommodation”, state services in Haute-Garonne conclude.
