″superpower″ comment for Turkey at EU summit | Europe | DW
European Union (EU), Western Balkan country under the EU-Western Balkan summit held in Slovenia; Albania confirmed Bosnia Macedonia and Kosovo.
The EU will be the long-term ones. The six countries in question have agreed to join the Union if they meet a range of criteria, from judicial reform to economic reforms. However, the target for 2030 was not consumed from this milk.
In the final declaration of the summit, it was noted that the EU’s “explanation regarding enlargement and the Europe of the Western Balkans has not been announced”.
Turkey, Russia and China concern
While Lithuanian Krisjan Karins said, “This is our backyard”, Austrian Prime Minister Sebastian Kurz made this meeting and said, “If the EU is not the right sun, other superpowers like China, Russia or Turkey will play a big role here. But China Balkane is coming for big system projects. Russia, on the other hand, is against the EU membership of the Balkan countries with which it has university ties.
The leaders, who came together in the evening at Brdo Castle, accepted the EU’s meal in China, the USA and Afghanistan, and some of the leaders expressed their views on the foreign policy within the EU and the Balkans.
France cautious
At the summit, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen addressed the Balkan countries as “family”, while French President Emmanuel Macron chose a more cautious election. Macron said the Balkans were “Europe’s salary” and deserved a way to full ownership.
