Toulouse. Muséum gardens celebrate autumn with music with the Metronum
It is once again with music that the Gardens of the Museum will be celebrating fall on October 10, before they close for the winter season on October 31. And it is of course with the Metronum that they team up to offer a joyful and inventive day, with many concerts, shows and other performances scattered in the different spaces. A quick overview …
Marie Amali: 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
This singer-pianist, at the crossroads of France and Lebanon, invites you to take time. Winner of the 2019 Nougaro Prize, she interweaves piano and voice, for songs at the crossroads of the psychedelia of Pink Floyd and the poetry of Alain Bashung.
Fanflures Brass Band: 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Straight out of the street, the music of the Fanflures Brass Band is a concentrated energy explosive and communicative where brass, percussion and vocals reign with pride. Combining the groove of Funk New Orleans, the power of Hip Hop and the finesse of jazz, the seven Toulouse residents feverishly lead all audiences into their contagious madness.
Bakh Yaye: 3:30 p.m.
The Craze, the new creation of Bakh Yaye, is a milestone in the history of a group that started 20 years ago in the popular district of Guediawaye in Dakar. Established in Toulouse since 2003, Bakh Yaye makes a constant return trip between the creative turmoil of Dakar and the multicultural meetings of Toulouse.
Awori & Twani: 4:45 p.m.
Singer, rapper, composer with various influences, Awori sings in English, Luganda or Swahili with a velvet voice on hip-hop, soul and R’n’B rhythms. A singer with committed lyrics, she seeks to infuse a message of hope in an aerial electronic universe.
