Luxe Pack Monaco succeeds in its takeover
The crowd was at the rendezvous. In the corridors of the Grimaldi Forum on September 27, 28 and 29, the impression of a crowd was present. More than eighteen months after the start of the health crisis and the cessation of professional events that resulted from it, Luxe Pack Monaco has succeeded in its bet to bring the industry together. In the aisles, 7,820 visitors discovered new products from the 450 companies present during the three days of the show.
Single material and rechargeability
A welcome wealth for exhibitors who, by their own admission, did not expect so many people. Moreover, several manufacturers who have chosen to swap their exhibitor’s badge for that of a visitor regretted it. Despite some big names absent, the event was able to revitalize the luxury packaging sector thanks to many innovations. In line with the 2019 edition, which saw the start of a concrete realization of environmental issues, the companies present took advantage of the decline in activity that hit the sector to develop their own vision of sustainable development.
For many, this involves single-material solutions in order to facilitate the end of life of products and their recycling. Reloadability is also one of the strong axes, with a desire to offer beautiful cases to meet the demands of luxury customers as closely as possible. Manufacturers are thus focusing on the possibility of a high added value on a reusable or refillable element that the consumer keeps beyond the simple use of his product. The show was also an opportunity to report on a shift in glassmakers. Against the backdrop of glassification – the shift from plastic to glass – the vast majority of companies have developed new solutions for cosmetics, but also for make-up.
See you on October 3, 4 and 5, 2022
The meeting made it possible to unveil the winners of the Luxe Pack in Green, the show’s competition. This year, Estal was awarded for its collection of Rude glass bottles for the spirits market. Icma’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) approach, notably with its B-Corp certification, was also recognized. The public’s choice fell on the Odyssée jar from the Pochet group: a refillable solution in light glass which has the particularity of becoming nomadic according to the consumer’s needs.
After a 2021 edition rich in exchange, as the organizers wished, the appointment is already given for 2022. Also at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, Luxe Pack Monaco will be held from October 3 to 5.
