Innsbruck – Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, 12:23 p.m.
In the top game of the 10th round of the ADMIRAL 2nd league, Blau-Weiß Linz celebrates a 1-0 last-minute win against Wacker Innsbruck in an eventful duel at Tivoli.
The guests from Upper Austria set off like being shot from a pistol. Dwamena (6th) and Surdanovic (6th) miss out on good opportunities early on. Especially blue and white striker Dwamena is in the spotlight. In the 19th minute he was held back by Kopp in the penalty area – actually a clear thing, but the penalty whistle did not materialize.
With the continuation of the first half, Wacker also has opportunities. A “hammer” from Fridrikas (22nd) goes just over the gate. Ronivaldo scores in the 24th minute for the supposed 1-0, but the hit is denied because of a clear offside position. Blue and white, however, remain decisive in the game. Strauss leaves a huge chance for dying last year’s champion, who cannot put the ball in the goal from just a few meters from the bang.
In the second half the pace slackened noticeably. Both teams don’t give each other anything, but the lucky punch is a long time coming. The closest thing to it is Koch, who fails with a remarkable dangling on the pole (69th). When everyone was already expecting a tie, Kostic (89th) provided the Linzers with the liberating winner at the very last minute after a mess in the Tyrolean penalty area.
After the 10th round, blue-white is already seven points behind leaders Austria Lustenau and one point behind Liefering in third place (20 points), Wacker is sixth with 15 points.
