the Drive naked has been inaugurating a new department in recent weeks Toulouse. This “100% responsible and zero waste drive supermarket” has indeed launched into the packaging of fresh meat in jars. On the menu ? Of the Toulouse sausage, pour start. Quite a symbol!
How it works ?
“Our jars are put under vacuum, as we will do with a plastic container,” explains Salomé, co-founder of the naked Drive. And to add:
The absence of air allows a conservation of ten days! We have implemented this innovation thanks to the collaboration of our supplier who has revised its entire packaging chain to offer 0 waste sausages and chipolatas.
A first
This is a first for the All Naked Drive. “It took us a huge amount of R&D work to achieve this,” says Salomé. The other issue? “Finding a supplier who can operate according to this new packaging method was no easy task”.
Count 5 euros for a jar of 330 grams of farmhouse pork Toulouse sausage. In a few weeks, chicken should also land on the shelves of the Drive naked.
Sensitive to animal wellbeing, Salomé says she has opted for French meats, processed 30 kilometers from Toulouse and labeled organic or Label Rouge Fermier.
