The play “Russian Cross” was held at the Theater of Nations as part of the action to help children – culture
MOSCOW, September 28. / TASS /. The charity performance-concert “Russian Cross” based on the poem of the same name by Nikolai Melnikov was held on Tuesday at the Main Stage of the State Theater of Nations. The performance was organized as part of the action to help children.
“Our charitable foundation” Life in Motion “holds a concert every year, an action in support of the foundation and our Center for Prosthetics, which has not taken place this evening for two years. could find some form.Mironov, who reads this poem in the play, accompanied by the ensemble “Komon”.
The idea to embody this on stage appeared for the artist after communicating with Elder Elijah, who was Melnikov’s confessor and tragically experienced his death. “When we met, he suddenly showed me such a small brochure. He said:“ Here is your obedience. ” emotions work.
According to the director’s idea, in the performance-concert, poetry is combined with the author’s electronic music of Nikolai Popov and the folk sound of the Komon folklore ensemble. Members of the ensemble atmosphere around the reader with the help of authentic folklore – lyric songs, dance, vocal, church chants – and playing folk musical instruments.
“The form is unusual, because there are dramatic performances, there are concerts. There are video installations specially invented for this performance, there is music, as Marina Brusnikina calls it,” Russian “, which this poem raises to a completely different level – the universal, philosophical meaning some kind of parable.
Helping children
All collected from the sale of vehicles to the “Life on the Move” charity fund, which helps children with disabilities, prostheses. The fund was established in 2014 by Natalya Shaginyan-Needam and Yevgeny Mironov. In 2019, the foundation opened the first Children’s Prosthetics Center “I Want to Walk”. Over the two years of the foundation’s existence, more than 120 children from different regions of Russia acquired prostheses and underwent rehabilitation.
As the director of the foundation Maria Sokolova noted, this poem about faith in the light and good, it is this faith that helps the foundation. “Our guys, without hands, without legs, run marathons, the distance of which is 42 km, conquer mountain peaks, go downhill skiing, ice skating, cook chocolate, play in the theater. “the sight is impossible,” she said.
Co-founder of the Life in Motion Foundation Shahinyan-Needam noted that every concert is connected with some kind of dream. According to her, the creation of the Children’s Prosthetics Center became the embodiment of her dream. And this year another dream comes true – the realization of the “Solar House”, in which people with disabilities can acquire a specialty. “We hope that in a year our guys, despite their seemingly limited opportunities, will show once again that they can acquire various specialties and take a step into a new life,” she stressed.
