Tyrol’s best 10-kilometer road race takes place today on the beautiful route through the state capital.
The Innsbruck city run was held for the 36th time on September 25th. The highlight of the event was the Sparkassen main run, which led over two laps of five kilometers each through the city.
Colorful program in the afternoon
The sporty Saturday opened with the family run. The 500 meter competition without timing started at 2 p.m. Half an hour later, the youth competitions followed Courtyard garden. At 4 p.m. all other athletes can also take part in the main run, the pleasure run (5 km) and the relay (4 x 2.5 km). The start and the finish are set at State Theater from Innsbruck.

Running for a better climate: PLANET EARTH RUN
In the past, you can always expect strong performances over the 10-kilometer distance. Three years ago, the Kenyan Jonah Kiplagat Kemboi even managed a time of under 30 minutes in the Innsbruck city run with 29:57 minutes. Two years ago, Simon Lechleitner secured a home win with 32:01 minutes. In the women’s category, Silvia Schweiger achieved an excellent winning time of 36:06 minutes in 2019.
