Change of CEO at Neue Bank AG – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – The Board of Directors of Neuen Bank AG announced on Friday that Marcel Lüchinger will take over the chairmanship of the management on an ad interim basis, subject to the approval of the FMA. The previous CEO Pietro Leone will remain with Neue Bank AG in an advisory capacity.
Marcel Lüchinger has headed the Family Office and Intermediaries departments at Neue Bank AG since September 2019, as the announcement says. The 54-year-old started his career in investment banking at two major Swiss banks, most recently with the rank of director. He then switched to wealth management in a leading position at one of the largest Swiss private banks. For more than 10 years he has worked for various Liechtenstein private banks as head of “External Asset Managers” and “Private Label Funds”. “We are convinced that we have been able to win Marcel Lüchinger ad interim for this new role. In the past few years he has distinguished himself successfully in our bank through excellent leadership qualities and closeness to the market. We are convinced that he and the board of directors will run Neue Bank can lead successfully into the future, “said Prof. Manuel Ammann, President of the Board of Directors, in the communication.
It also says that the previous CEO, Pietro Leone, has decided to realign his career. Until then, he will remain with Neue Bank AG in an advisory capacity. Pietro Leone had been a member of the management team since 2007 and successfully expanded the customer area, according to the announcement. In June 2019 he took over the chairmanship of the executive board. “Pietro Leone has significantly advanced the development in the areas of sustainability and digitization and thus laid the foundation for a successful future,” said Ammann. “We thank him for his great commitment and wish him all the best for the future.”
