UZÈS Twenty dinosaurs to discover route d’Avignon this Wednesday
Since this weekend, the Palentéontolo expo has been set up in the Point S car park, route d’Avignon, in Uzès. Twenty larger-than-life dinosaurs are visible.
This traveling dinosaur exhibition has been touring the south of France for three years. It is run by Peggy Cornero and her husband, from around Avignon. They used to have a circus, but they ended up throwing in the towel, constantly attacked by animal activists. “We mostly did balance numbers but we also had a llama, a donkey, a horse … No wild animals. We took care of them but each time they arrived and we had to call in the police“Peggy laments. Even when explaining to customers, the image took a hit.
They then found this new original activity: “It pleases rather well. Some children know very complicated names of dinosaurs and parents are surprised at their size. “The big star remains the T-Rex, mediated by the film Jurassic Park. Placed under it, the car from the film has been installed. You can get on board, but watch out for jaw blows …
Young visitors can enter their dino quiz at the entrance to make the visit fun and learn more about its large animals from the Mesozoic era. Some of the models are displayed under the marquees, the rest outdoors: “We had to put this in place because this week, we were in Sommières and due to bad weather, part of our structure was torn off. Projectors, sound were flooded … But hey, luckily there were no spectators below at that time, it’s just material“, philosopher Peggy. We just have to hope that the rain does not play the spoilsport Wednesday.
