Based on the announcement, Prague police officers investigated on Monday whether a bear was moving near the capital. Someone called on line 158 that they saw the animal on the road between Dolní Břežany and Zbraslaví. The person then provided the Dolní Břežany Municipal Office with a video that turned out to be fake. The police therefore withdrew the search.
On link 158, someone announced on Monday that a brown bear was moving near Prague. Police began investigating the report and the video provided, but found that it was a false alarm. “Police officers toured the area, but no place matched the video,” police spokeswoman Michaela Richterová told TN.cz after 5 p.m.
The fake video was unknowingly spread from the municipal office in Dolní Břežany. Someone sent them footage. “It was such a carousel. Someone had it from someone and they also had it from someone. In the end, we found out that the video was not shot around Prague,” the spokeswoman added.
These shots triggered a police operation:
A helicopter also helped with the search for the police. Later in the afternoon, the operation was completed and the helicopter returned to base. If the animal actually moved near Prague, trapping experts and a veterinarian would be called to the scene.
