There will be no march in Prague-Prčice this year due to the covid
The organizers of this year’s march, which is the most mass domestic event of its kind, first moved from May 15 to June 13. A smartphone was required to participate and electronic registration was envisaged.
In the end, however, the march will not take place in June. The organizers said they were trying to organize the event to eliminate all epidemic risks failed to meet the conditions regarding the number of people to obtain a positive opinion of the Chief Hygienist, which was a condition for the consent of the town of Sedlec-Prčice to organize a march. Therefore, they were forced to cancel this year’s march.

“In order to take advantage of this year’s work of the trackers, we decided to convert the current year of the march into an electronic versionwhich will allow you to walk several routes independently during the holidays. Detailed instructions will be available here (on the web) in the second half of June, “they added.
The legendary march has been held since 1966, when five hundred tourists set out to cover a distance of 100,000 Czech elbows, which corresponds to about 60 kilometers. Last year, over 26,000 tourists used it.
The Prague – Prčice march reached tens of thousands of tourists.
