Faster by train from Prague to Mladá Boleslav. The state began preparing the Všejanská spojka
The connection by train from the center of Prague to Mladá Boleslav is to take a maximum of 45 minutes, the new line is projected at a speed of 200 km / h.
It has been talked about for decades, but only recently has it begun to seem that it could actually have arisen. After a feasibility study approved last year on the acceleration of the Prague – Mladá Boleslav railway connection, the Railway Administration continues with the preparation of a new section of line, which should bring the necessary acceleration.
It is a so-called Všejanská connection, which will connect the line from Lysá nad Labem to Milovice with the Nymburk – Mladá Boleslav line. Railway administration on Friday announced a competition to a company that conducts engineering-geological research, which will be the basis for processing documentation for land management.
After many studies, this is the first concrete survey to build the entire route of the Všejanská spojka. The railway administration specified in the documentation that the line will be built at a speed of 200 km / h, it will be double-track.
The line will open to the Lysá nad Labem station by means of a level crossing and then continue on the new track to Milovice, which will intersect in the area of the existing Milovice station (the current single-track line will be canceled). Subsequently, the line turns eastwards and through the new station Milovice-Boží dar and the Vanovice stop it joins the southern head of the Čachovice station. The goal is for the journey from the center of Prague to Mladá Boleslav to take less than 45 minutes.
Last year, at the end of the year, the Všejanská spojka was approved by the Central Commission of the Ministry of Transport as part of the acceleration of trains between Prague and Mladá Boleslav. The project with an estimated cost of 32 billion also includes the Bezdečínská spojka near Mladé Boleslav. At the Všejanská spojka, the Railway Administration announces the start of construction in 2027. The Všejanská spojka itself is to cost 4.8 billion crowns.
The variant approved last year also addresses the capacity and electrification of the section from the Skály branch in Prague to Neratovice and Všetat and the modernization of the Bakov nad Jizerou station. The section from Mladá Boleslav to Liberec will be solved by a separate study.
