tomorrow the draws for the groups without Liechtenstein and Russia
The qualifying rounds will be drawn tomorrow Under 21 European Championships. The final tournament will be hosted by Slovakia in 2025. They will be 52 national teams involved among them San Marino. Matteo Cecchetti’s blue-and-whites were placed in the last pot with Malta, Armenia, Luxembourg, Andorra, Estonia, Gibraltar. The teams will be drawn in seven groups of six and two groups of five. Among the 55 member associations of UEFA, 3 nations will not participate in the draw: the Slovakiaas host country of the finals, the Russia because suspended by UEFA for known events related to the conflict in Ukraine and surprisingly the Liechtenstein. The groups will be played between March 2023 and October 2024. The first day of matches is scheduled for March 20–28, 2023the last for 7–15 October 2024. The nine group winners and the three best runners-up, not counting their results against the sixth-placed teams, qualify directly for the finals in Slovakia in 2025, while the other six runners-up will contest the last three play-off places, with first legs and back, in November 2024. Among the possible opponents of San Marino in the first band: Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Netherlands, England, Denmark, Italy, Romania
