Guerrini, an elevator will take you from via Pre’ to the Palazzo gardens

(ANSA) – GENOA, 31 JAN – Royal Palace of Genoa is preparing to open up towards the city waterfront with a redevelopment project which, by 2025, will connect the national museum with via Pre’, improving the accessibility of visitors who, to date , can only be accessed from via Balbi. Alessandra Guerrini, director of the National Museums of Genoa – Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Spinola, explained it on the sidelines of the inauguration of the new ecopoint which found space in the premises made available by the museum. “As regards the Caruggi Plan – explained Guerrini – we have a major renovation project for the Palazzo, with a loan that will help us greatly improve our view of the sea source.

We are already working on the famous lift that will take Via Pre’ to the garden level of Palazzo Reale: it is a construction site that we plan to open in the spring and which should be completed by 2025″. A fascinating project that is part of a broader redevelopment context “This is an important intervention for the Palazzo – concludes Guerrini – which, in addition to the lift, concerns the refurbishment of the facades facing the sea and the restoration of an entire new apartment from the 1700s”.
