in Toulouse, travelers require movement despite the lack of transport

The strike is back this Tuesday, January 31 in opposition to the pension reform project carried by the government. In the transport sector, the mobilization is very followed. In Toulouse, travelers organized themselves to avoid inconvenience and supply the strikers.
This Tuesday marks the second day of massive mobilization against the pension reform. Mobilization is particularly followed in the transport sector. In Paris, the RATP network is on strike, the metros and buses do not run or run very little. On the side of the SCNF, only two out of ten TERs and one out of three TGVs are planned on average throughout France. At the Toulouse-Matabiau station, travelers seem to have taken their precautions and require the strike movement.
“I am fully behind the demonstrators”
Toulouse-Matabiau station is surprisingly quiet this Tuesday morning. The traffic is very strongly disturbed there: only one Intercités goes circular this Tuesday between Toulouse, Bordeaux and Marseille. On the TGV and Ouigo side, 60% of the trains are canceled. Most TERs are replaced by buses. The situation is not always obvious for travelers who, despite everything, move.
“I take the train every day at 6:04 a.m. for Agen and there I am stuck at Toulouse-Matabiau station. I will have to take a chartered bus to Agen. I already went on strike the last time. I I am a teacher and twice a month is a lot. I am fully behind the demonstrators who have chosen to deprive themselves of salary for a day, “explains Dominique at the microphone of Europe 1.
On the Toulouse roads, traffic is sparse, a sign that the workers have organized themselves by taking a day off or teleworking. During the previous mobilization of January 19, between 30 and 50,000 people marched through the streets of Toulouse. The organizers expect a mobilization at least as massive this Tuesday.
