After the poor performance of the Social Democrats in the state elections in Lower Austria, Salzburg’s SPÖ boss certainly does not want to get involved in a possible personnel debate in the party. His focus is on the Salzburg state elections on April 23rd.
From Salzburg – where the third state election of the year is due after the Carinthian election on March 5th on April 23rd – it was explained to the APA that the result of Lower Austria was of no importance for Salzburg.
“We are concentrating fully on the state elections in Salzburg”
SPÖ state party chairman David Egger emphasized that after the poor performance of the Social Democrats on Sunday, he would certainly not get involved in a possible personnel debate about federal chairman Pamela Rendi-Wagner. “We’re not interested in that, we’re concentrating fully on the state elections in Salzburg,” he told APA.
What happened in Carinthia on March 5th will not be decisive for Salzburg. According to Egger, he is convinced that Governor Peter Kaiser will be the first to cross the finish line. Nevertheless, the SPÖ should generally ask itself why you can’t get through with people despite the right topics and how you can stop Herbert Kickl’s soaring. In Salzburg, the polls are currently looking good for the SPÖ. Postscript: “Surveys are just surveys.”
