Near Toulouse. Pensions: in support of the mobilization, this mayor offers leave to his agents

A half-day of leave, without deduction of salary. This is what will benefit the somethings 170 officers from the town hall of L’Unionnear Toulouse this Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in the morning.
In support of the movement against pension reform
In the wake of other mayors of France, like Anne Hidalgo in ParisMarc Péré, first aedile of The union has therefore chosen to close the doors of all municipal services for a morning in support of the social movement against the pension reform.
“Through this unprecedented measure since 2014, the year in power of the current majority, the elected representatives of the majority group show their full support for the day of action organized by the unions, explains the mayor of L’Union. The two-year increase in the legal retirement age is a terrible violence inflicted on millions of employees and public service agents. ”
No additional cost for the town hall
A measure which, according to the city councilor, will have no additional cost for the municipality: “it only costs in terms of the service delivered”, explained Marc Péré to Toulouse news.
“I know agents and employees with low incomes and for whom losing a working day to strike and go to demonstrate is sometimes difficult. With this symbolic act we want to strongly mark our support for the social movement.”
This half-day of leave offered will allow municipal agents who wish to participate in the demonstration against the pension reform which will take place from 10 a.m., in Toulouse, from Saint-Cyprien.
