“Adopt Maria Cristina’s animals”
“None of Maria Cristina’s animals should be left alone. It’s a moral commitment for all that she has done for them.” These are the words of the president of Enpa Rimini, Well done Cecilia, who promises to find an adoption and therefore a home for every animal left without the mistress who had loved them so much. The Rimini animal protection, in agreement with the competent bodies and family members, has in fact taken charge for all animals present in the cottage Maria Cristina Venturathe 69-year-old woman who disappeared in the snow storm in Montecopiolo e found dead by the dog unit yesterday afternoon. I would like tofrostbite the cause of death; volunteers and friends think was looking for a dog that he had not returned home, only to find himself in trouble in the storm. “He didn’t go to sleep if an animal was missing”, underlines the president of Enpa.
That of Maria Cristina, a former psychologist originally from Bolognese, was a life spent for animals. The farmhouse built in an inaccessible area of Campodarco, a hamlet of Montecopiolo, must have been ithe refuge of the elderly and sick ones. He looked after well over a hundred of them: 45 dogs, 70 cats, two horses, a pony And a donkey. To reach the house and transport the animals, after the abundant snowfalls last weekend, Enpa made use of emergency vehicles: a snowcat and a so-called “caterpillar”, a crawler supplied to Fire fighters.
Now they are all in safety, in public facilities, including the refuge of theApas which opened the doors to nine dogs. Others are located in the Forlì-Cesena kennel. To them the heartfelt thanks of Enpa Rimini. The most critical situation concerns i cats, says Cecilia Bravo. “Maria Cristina welcomed all those with pathologies: without a paw, with neurological problems, elderly and sick”. “He has never left an animal in trouble in the middle of a road”, he adds. And now, to fulfill her will, she will be buried a short distance from the house that she, with passion and dedication, had restored to help animals that would have no chance of surviving in the wild.
“The dogs we have welcomed are from small sizea little elderly and in need of care”, declares the president Apas, Emanuele Stolfi. Which also throws a appeal to find them a definitive accommodation as soon as possible: “I invite animal lovers – he tells us – because even these dogs, used to being indoors and living together with each other, can find a home”.
