LMS | Toulouse announces two recruits for the next season
Fenix Toulouse have chosen stability for next season. During a press conference held on Thursday, President Philippe Dallard presented two players who will replace the Toulouse squad for next season.
To replace the Austrian pivot Tobie Wagnerwho will return to his native country, to the Bregenz club, the Fenix has hired Gabriel Nyembo, which has been wearing the colors of Dunkirk since 2019. Trained in Alsace, Strasbourg and then Sélestat, the junior international experienced contrasting moments in the North. Hit in the knee in December 2021, Nyembo was able to come back this season, without however succeeding in winning. In Toulouse, he signed up for two seasons, until 2025.
In Toulouse, he will pair up with Frederic Pettersson, the Swede, who has returned for an additional season. Another contract extension, that of the handyman Erwin Feuchtmannfor two more seasons, and right-winger Edouard Kempfuntil 2026.
The second recruit comes from Sweden and extends to the position of center half. Casper Kall, 22, was young world champion with Sweden a few years ago, and continues to progress with his club Lugi. Its small size (1m85 for 74 kilos) is reminiscent of that ofErik Balenciaga, which would set sail for Melsungen at the end of the season. Käll has signed up for the next three seasons, until 2026.
On the other hand, next summer will see the end of an era on the banks of the Garonne, since the captain of the Fenix Pierrick Chelle to retire. At 33, the right winger who has only known Toulouse as a professional club, has decided to hang up the baskets, after seizing the seasons of a great career.
