the town hall deprograms readings for children led by drag queens
An irritated controversy since Tuesday, January 24 at the Capitol. The town hall of Toulouse has decided to deprogram reading workshops for children led by drag queens in one of its media libraries, due to the reactions caused by the event. “This choice of programming – which did not give rise to any visa or endorsement from elected officials – can destabilize part of the public. This is obviously not the will of the community.explains the town hall of Toulouse, in a press release published on Tuesday.

“For the sake of appeasement”continues the town hall, the reading intended for a young audience and scheduled for February 18 “will be reoriented to accommodate only a major public”. “Some reactions can cause public disorder”, we add on the side of the town hall. La Manif pour tous was indignant on Twitter at the organization of this reading and a small group called Furie française, which presents itself on the Instagram social network as “Toulouse and rooted community youth movement”launched a petition against the event.
