The national strike of petrol stations is triggered, distributors are expected to guarantee the service in Tuscany
Petrol stations closed from 7pm on Tuesday 24 January to 7pm on 26 January for the ordinary network and from 10pm on 24 January to 10pm on 26 January for the motorway network. This is what the national strike launched by the trade unions foresees. “We no longer want to pass for speculators and crafty people, when our prices at the pump are certainly not decided at the pleasure of the manager. Speculators and crafty people to be controlled by the government with absurd cartels, the umpteenth, and disproportionate penalties to increase which are clearly linked only with the return of excise duties. That’s why we go on strike, hoping that consumers will understand that we are on the same side of the barricade”. This is the position of Faib Confesercenti, the most representative trade union, in the words of the North Tuscany manager Adriano Rapaioli.
“The government is amazed at our intransigence given their openings – he insists – but after the last Roman table the mandatory display of billboards was reconfirmed, in addition to the provision of displaying a QR-Code, and the remodulation a reduction in sanctions, a solution that is evidently a step back from the commitments undertaken, again in the context of confrontation with the government, which had prompted Faib to keep any decision regarding the strike frozen”.
“The introduction of the average price cartel is an additional fulfillment to the many others; today the manager has a decision of fiscal and administrative obligations, from the communication of prices to the electronic transmission of the fees, from the stamping of the dispensers to the display of the prices on the roadways up to the exposure of the differentials, to the electronic invoice. Therefore, no opposition to transparency, provided that this does not turn into new management burdens for petrol stations and consequent new penalties”. Adriano Rapaioli concludes: “Perhaps it will also be good to remember what amazing earnings we are talking about for managers. Out of a supply of 20 euros, 11.72 euros equal to 59% go to the State, 7.9 equal to 39% go to the companies and finally 0.38 gross equal to 2% to the operator”.
