San Marino. “The daughters of Auschwitz. The missing story” staged on January 26 in Fiorentino
It will be “The daughters of Auschwitz. The missing story” to be staged on January 26 in Fiorentino, a scenic reading at the end of the Voice Workshop/Teatro Workshop Zimmermann in collaboration with the Fiorentino Social Center.
This is the initiative for Remembrance Day promoted by Florentine Social Center.
“The work is inspired by the autobiographical accounts of two women: one, a Jewish daughter who survived Auschwitz; the other, daughter of a guardian of the same extermination camp. Parallel lives, which back in time, bring out the difficult relationship with one’s mother, between affection and accusations, invocations of clarity and instances of a sense of justice.
The questions that the protagonists ask themselves represent a particular point of view on the extermination camp par excellence: Auschwitz and it is an interesting opportunity to reflect on the importance of memory in relation to the present. Indeed, “Voices”, the project-container, created for several years now by the Fiorentino Social Center and the Zimmermann Theater Workshop, aims to implement workshops and scenic readings on issues related to the “Day of Remembrance” (January 27 ) and the “World Day against Gender-based Violence” (November 25).
The representation “The daughters of Auschwitz. The missing story” will take place in the theater hall of the Fiorentino Social Center at 21.00 on Thursday 26 January. For info 3356955109; [email protected]
The show is part of the initiatives dedicated to the “Day of Remembrance 2023″, called by the Secretariat of State for Culture and by the Cultural Institutes”.
