Renaud assures for his big comeback on stage in Avignon
One more time, the phoenix Renaud rises from its ashes. For the first date of his tour “In my strings”, the singer conquered the 600 spectators of La Scala, in Avignon, this Tuesday evening. During the hour and a half of concert, Renaud was surrounded by a guitar, an accordion and a set of string instruments and sang many classics such as Manu, Morgane de toi, Lolita, Knocked up, etc
It is a Renaud faithful to himself who landed on stage, cowboy boots on his feet and striped sailor on his back. As for his red bandana, it is attached to the musicians’ desks. Because Renaud is carried by those who accompany him: a pianist, an accordionist and eight string musicians. The public also wears it, faithful and moved to find him after five years of absence on stage. “We know that the voice is no longer that of the 80s but who cares, we don’t come for that, explains Fred at the end of the concert. We come for the presence, for the emotion”.
