Wolfgang Lackner (57) has been the new CEO of Europe Assistance GmbH since the beginning of the year. He succeeds Besim Akinci (55), who, after seven years of successful work in Austria, is concentrating on expanding Europ Assistance in Switzerland.
Wolfgang Lackner assumes this function in addition to his work as CEO of Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, a sister company of Europ Assistance GesmbH within the Generali Group. Furthermore, Stefan Zaffalon (43) was appointed Managing Director of Europ Assistance in Austria on January 1, 2023. He was previously an authorized signatory and senior employee of the company and is responsible for the company’s operational areas and IT.
Wolfgang Lackner: “I am looking forward to the new tasks and challenges. Together we will consolidate and advance the strong market position of Europ Assistance in Austria. “I am pleased about the appointment as Managing Director and the trust that this has placed in me. Our goal is to expand the fields of activity of Europ Assistance and at the same time to expand the usual high level of quality for our customers and partners,” says Zaffalon.
