Last generation announces new campaigns – also in Munich
Munich – They stick to the streets and cause a stir with other actions: the climate activists of the “last generation”. Now the group has announced further actions, nationwide there will be new protests from February 6th at the earliest.
But it cannot be ruled out that there WILL be actions before that. Munich remains a focus, as the activists announced on Monday.
In the past few weeks and months there have been repeated protests in the Bavarian state capital, with members of the group often getting stuck on busy streets. For the future, the activists expect not only (road) blockades, but also further actions and “creative forms of protest”.
Last generation: protests during the Munich Siko?
According to their own statement, the “last generation” doesn’t want to be popular, that’s not what it’s about for them. They may want to force a social discussion and draw attention to the current grievances – especially in terms of climate.
They accuse the current federal government of “not being a climate government”. Her accusation: things promised by politicians in advance are not implemented.
Police Munich warned
In any case, the police are keeping an eye on the situation, as the Bureau said on Monday. You will react accordingly if public safety is endangered.
This could be the case as early as February, for example, when the security conference takes place again in Munich (February 17-19) and heads of state and government from all over the world are expected in the city.
