Civil service 2023 at Avis in Pisa
Young people promote blood donation among young people. The volunteers who will participate in the universal civil service in Avis will be engaged in awareness-raising activities in schools and youth contexts, with the aim of encouraging donation also among the new generations who are very important for the future of the Tuscan blood system.
They are in the Pisan territory 8 seats available in the universal civil service project ‘The gift that serves in Tuscany’ of the regional Avis, which will allow as many young people to carry out a year of service in the offices of Capannoli, Cascina, Fornacette, Montopoli in Valdarno, Pisa, Ponsacco, Pontedera, Santo PietroBelvedere.
The call is open until 2 pm on 10 February and the application can be submitted exclusively online via Spid. The duration of the experience is 12 months, with a weekly timetable of 25 flexible hours to be divided into 5 days of service per week, between Monday and Sunday according to the needs of the assigned location. For volunteers in service, a monthly allowance of 444.30 euros will be paid by the Ministry.
The ‘The gift that serves in Tuscany’ project was presented as part of the ‘Youth network to promote the gift’ program in collaboration with Avis Nazionale.
“The need to collect blood and plasma passes from a simple but life-saving gesture like that of the gift – says Claudia Firenze, president of Avis Toscana – the project’s goal is to start a process of awareness and dissemination of the values of solidarity and correct lifestyles among young people, proposing the donation of blood and plasma as an expression of civil participation”.
In addition to developing promotional activities for young people, the volunteers will collaborate in the daily management of the activities of the chosen location alongside the employees and/or volunteers.
