German Film Week
Until January 26, a business review of German cinema in Poland is held at the Pod Baranami Cinema. This year’s edition takes place in several Polish cities – including Krakow, where seven films will be presented. The program includes the award-winning biopic “Thomas Brasch” of the German Film Academy and Sönke Wortmann’s “Contra” when presenting the ancient art of comedy rhetoric.
Grandma and Grandpa’s Day Dance Party
On the occasion of Grandma and Grandpa’s Day, the Polish Song Library cordially invites all seniors to the “Dance Party with Polish and World Hits”, which will take place today, January 21, in Fort No. 52 “Borek” at ul. Forteczna 146. Beginning at 19.00.

The 69th concert in the series “Nowa Huta. Why not?!” Today, January 21, at 19.00 in the church of SW. Judy Tadeusz at ul. Wężyka 6, there will be an evening of carols under the banner of “Let’s sing and play for him – carolling with Galicja”.
The Krakow part of the men’s handball world championship is underway
The 28th World Men’s Handball Championship Poland-Sweden 2023 is underway, of which Krakow is one of the host cities. In total, until January 22, TAURON Arena Kraków will host as many as 21 events accompanying the event in the history of Polish handball. As part of the main round, in group I, the Polish national team will play here against Spain, Montenegro and Iran.
The final of the “Nowa Huta Neon Trail” project
Today, January 21 at 18.00 Center of Culture them. CK Norwida in Krakow invites you to the premiere of the publication “Guide to the neons of Nowa Huta” and the “Samosia” font, inspired by neons from Nowa Huta. The event will also include a summary of the project’s activities so far. Guests who are the authors of the guide: Paweł Bochenek, Joanna Suchowiak-Horzemski, Agnieszka Konior, Anna Zabdyrska, Jarosław Klaś and Monika Kozioł.

“Twice a charm” at the Variété Theatre
The Variété Theater invites you to the premiere of the play “Do Twice Art” directed by Anna Gryszkówna, which will take place today, January 21, at 18.00. The main roles are played by Barbara Kurdej-Szatan and Michał Staszczak, known to viewers, e.g. as Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn from the musical “Chicago” directed by Wojciech Kościelniak. Costumes and sets were designed by Karolina Łucja Bramowicz. Karolina Gębska is responsible for directing the lights.
TAURON Arena Kraków invites you to skate
Good news for skating enthusiasts – from November 19, 2022. Use the ice rink at TAURON Arena Kraków. The slides run until February 12. From December 1, at selected times, admission is free for children and teenagers from Krakow.
Ice rink at the NCK
The Nowa Huta Cultural Center invites all skaters to the ice rink with an area of 800 m2. You can sharpen your skates and remember the basic figures – pirouettes, jumps and attractive tip-overs. From morning to evening, writing and in a team, on your own or rented skates, with music and pleasant use. To the limit!
