Professionals authorized to unload?
According to Gérard, a resident of Aygalades, access to the recycling center would be authorized for certain professionals, whereas the site is only reserved for individuals. “You are told your car does not correspond to the vehicles authorized in the recycling center. You are asked for a ticket, five, ten euros. Individuals are prohibited but professionals who work “under the table” must come there only to pay the weight of the waste in a specialized site. Combines denounced by Gérard which would earn him to be prohibited from staying in this recycling centre. For a normal citizen, it got angry.”

France Bleu Provence was able to see a video, shot at the end of 2021, in which a van filled with wooden shutters, is allowed to unload. Without being able to verify if it is a “professional messing up”, clearly came to unload after an undeclared site. A witness also recounts having paid his right of way “Ten euros to unload the earth”. Some reporting residents “intimidation, threats as well as trafficking in particular of materials”.
Elected officials and justice informed and singled out
These very serious charges
brought against the staff of the recycling center go back several years. The site has been managed for 10 years by the Silim company, acquired in the summer of 2021 by Véolia. The Aix Marseille Provence Metropolis has also renewed the public service delegation for six years, in April 2022.
All “these combines” were denounced by a resident of Aygalades. “Very uplifted”Retirement “a written letter to all the elected Marseille officials concerned”in particular Martine Vassal, president of the Metropolis. “A report was also made to the public prosecutor of Marseille”. No response or effect. “I denounce a mafia system and I assume. We cannot pass. We have to monetize our entry. And then we are surprised that Marseille is dirty! And we let it happen. According to this Marseillais, there is a breach of equality for access to this public waste service. “In the northern districts, we are left behind. I go to the Château Gombert recycling center, there is a camera that takes our license plate, we see what we throw away. We are well received. And I I have to go there! At home, I am banned from recycling centers because I had altercations with these people. And that’s how it goes, that’s all”.

Veolia responds to residents
Joined by phone Veolia responds to France Bleu Provence and ensures not to have “no return of major problems, linked to reprehensible behavior by our staff at the waste disposal centre. Christophe Ghibaudo, group communication manager in Paca, ensures that all individuals have access to the Aygalades, provided they comply with the rules: frequency of discharge, authorized vehicles, quantity and type of regulated waste. And Christophe Ghibaudo to insist *, if such practices delivered to be known, Véolia would advocate zero tolerance “*.
