Excursions, exhibitions, concerts, theater performances and the ‘Chocolate Festival’. It will be a weekend full of events, the one now upon us. In fact, between Pisa and its province there are numerous appointments not to be missed between Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January: here are some suggestions.
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January, from 9 to 19, the Corso Matteotti of Cascina will be invaded by a very sweet scent thanks to the first edition of the ‘Chocolate Festival’, with tastings in the historic center and the presence of exhibitors of crafts, arts and crafts . The event is promoted and organized by Confesercenti Toscana Nord with the patronage of the Municipality of Cascina.
Sunday 22nd January appointment with ‘Four seasons on the Walls – Winter’. From 14.30 to 16.30 Silvia Sorbi and Marco Zuffi of the Natural History Museum of the University of Pisa lead a naturalistic excursion dedicated to the natural or semi-natural micro-environments present along the high-altitude walkway
The concert by will be held on Saturday 21 January at 21, at the Lumière in collaboration with Music Pool Emma Nolde. The young Tuscan singer-songwriter presents her new album in Pisa Sleepreleased in September 2022 for Woodworm / Capitol Records Italy.
The largest Disco Exhibition in Tuscany returns on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January from 10 to 19 at the Hotel Galilei, with more than 140 linear meters and 30 exhibitors from all over Italy. Exhibitors and collectors will be present with their stands with real gems; rarities, original English prints from the 60s and 70s, deluxe packaging, special editions, special boxes.
The documentary exhibition dedicated to the application of the racial laws in Pisa from 1938 to 1944 opened on Thursday 19 January at the State Archives of Palazzo Toscanelli. On display, documents from the funds of the Municipality and the Prefecture of Pisa, from the “secret” census cards of August 1938 to the confiscations of assets and the start of forced labor in the last years of the war.
The final event of the photographic activities of the Photo Experience photographic association will be held on Saturday 21 January, open to the public from 5pm. Photographic exhibitions will be set up at the Stazione Leopolda in Pisa in which, in total, over 150 shots will be exhibited regarding the final works of the Basic, Advanced and Fashion Photography Courses.
